Carnelian Collection

Gemstone Co. is proud to present our first mounted gemstone collection!

Carnelian captivates in much the same way that the flash of a fiery sunset or the first blaze of autumnal brilliance does.

It ranges in color from yellow-orange to rich, near reddish-orange, to orangey-brown, and varies from semi-opaque to highly translucent.

Carnelian Symbolism and Gem Language

Ancient peoples all over the world favored the warm, reddish gem known as carnelian. This material was easy to cut into jewelry stones as well as carve into seals and talismans.

Carnelian symbolism and lore came to encompass health, luck, and royalty.

Rings and gemstones have a special place in Islamic culture and history.

The Prophet Mohammed s.a.w was said to have worn a carnelian seal set in silver on the little finger of his right hand.

Most if not all Muslims agree that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) wore at least one ring, and this is something that is followed by Muslims all over the world.

When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wanted to send a letter to the Romans, he was told that they would not read any letter unless it had a seal on it, so he took a ring of silver. It is as if I can see it shining on his hand, and engraved on it were the words ‘Muhammad the Messenger of Allah.’”
